CERAMIC ARTIST APPRENTICE
This role assists in artist's production while functioning as a studio tech. Responsibilities include production work such as slab construction, basic glazing, and painting needs as well as reclaiming clay, glaze maintenance, routine cleaning, organization of production inventory, and shipping. This apprentice will work closely with Julia Ballenger, ceramic artists to ensure quality, efficiency, direction.
The apprenticeship is a direct path to a paid Production Assistant position, building upon all studio responsibilities, including more detailed work, such as carving and painting, as well as collaborative design development, kiln management. Training is included.
Extensive experience with clay is not required. In fact, we are looking for a young student that is new to the arts world and/or clay. This apprenticeship includes training. Someone who is willing to learn new techniques, picks up new skills quickly, and can work independently, professionally, and efficiently. For those who have experience working with clay and are looking for a more substantial role in a ceramics studio, please feel free to reach out regarding our PRODUCTION ASSISTANT role (pay is dependent on experience).

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
This role assists in production while functioning as a studio tech. The Production Assistant works closely with Julia Ballenger to ensure quality, efficiency, direction, and will help with shipping pieces, setting up shows, and hosting sales as needed.
The Production Assistant role is a direct path to the Studio Manager position, building upon all studio responsibilities and including more detailed work, such as carving and painting, as well as collaborative design development and kiln management.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
This role assists the Office Manager and Julia Ballenger with various administrative tasks. Responsibilities include customer relations, wholesale client relations, data entry, shipping and receiving, eMarketing and social media tasks, and office/studio maintenance and organization.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Proficient in all Google applications (ie: Gmail and Google Drive)
Professional communication and reliability
Detail oriented and organized
Ability to be self managed
Team oriented
Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, and Facebook
Knowledge of Social Media strategy and management preferred but not required
Experience with Mailchimp is preferred but not required
Experience with Squarespace websites preferred but not required
